In its third season, the Theater of Resistance focuses on the connections between individuals and communities.

As part of an open call, we received 57 applications and selected five projects that explore the issues of bonds and ruptures caused by Russia’s full-scale war in Ukraine.

Personal and social connections — what is happening to them? How are old connections maintained in a reality where Russia's censorship and propaganda machine is actively operating, and free expression is forced underground? How are new connections being built — in local contexts or under new translocal conditions? How are ruptures experienced, and what forms of care and solidarity practices can emerge today?
